How long after an application do I have to wait before I can allow my children or pets out in the yard?

Typically it is safe to enter the yard once it appears that the application is no longer damp. Usually this is within an hour but is sometimes less depending on temperature, wind, and humidity.

With an organic application there is no need to worry or wait - the yard can be used immediately.

How often does my yard need a tick application?

Depending on property design, weather, and wildlife activity, organic applications are proven effective for 6-8 weeks. Pesticides have a longer residual value and therefore can be effective for longer periods of time.

Why not spray the lawn areas?

Generally ticks are not found in lawn areas that are mowed regularly. Well maintained grass leaves them with higher exposure to heat, mowers/blowers and extreme weather conditions. Tick populations are found in protected areas around the perimeter of your property such as tall grass, shrubs, brush piles, firewood, and close to building foundations. As a result, the use of pesticides in open, exposed areas is usually not necessary.
